Yes, I do know how to spell adventure. I am referring to the Holden Adventra. That Commodore wagon built between 2003 and 2006 sporting Holden's very own Cross Trac AWD system. For their enthusiast owners these rare beasts are nothing but adventure.
Putting AWD into a Commodore required a rethink of much of the vehicle design. Boge had a hand in the total overhaul of the front suspension design. What resulted was a design so strong and reliable that it saw active service in workhorses like the Crewman Cross 8 and HSV's high performance Avalanche and Coupe 4.
When asked if we could remake bushes to replace the ones that are wearing out on these 15-year-old cars we had to think about it. After all there are polyurethane alternatives already available. But with the groundswell of support shown by an enthusiastic Adventra owners group - all searching for replacement buses that were going to last as long and feel like the original equipment - we had no choice but to retool.
Boge is about to launch a bush replacement kit for Cross Trac equipped Holden VY and VZ models under their Polyelast brand. Vehicle owners can purchase direct on-line from 1 October. For advance orders or further information please contact Gerard Allen gerard.allen@boge-rubber-plastics.com
