Most performance cars have their origins in more sedate high volume variants produced by OEM’s for mass markets. Here the inter-relationship between good Ride & Handling and acceptable Noise, Vibration & Harshness isolation is a compromise. At some point, a trade-off is made that sacrifices peak driving performance and durability in the interests of passenger comfort.

Most performance upgrades focus upon increasing power output as well as spring, damper and tyre stiffness with little thought for the bushings and mounts that join the various suspension components together. This often leads to premature failures in both suspension and driveline mountings.
